Near the end of the Torah service, individually wrapped fruit candies will be passed out to those sitting in the first several rows of the sanctuary. The tradition is to "shower" Elnatan with sweetness and wish him a sweet life as he transitions to adulthood. People should take a piece of candy and hold onto it until everyone starts throwing it towards the bimah where Elnatan will be standing. Then kids run up to the bimah to collect the candy and eat it!
